About Dr. Laura
We all want a place where we can show up as ourselves—without judgment, without pressure. My goal has always been to create that kind of space, where you feel met with compassion and genuine care.
I work with clients navigating anxiety, mood concerns, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, autism and other forms of neurodivergence—as well as the perfectionism and people-pleasing patterns that can feel impossible to untangle alone. My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, drawing on CBT, DBT, and ACT, but I adapt each session to the person in front of me. Therapy, to me, should feel like a real conversation, not a formula.
Growing up between Hawai’i and New York shaped how I understand identity—the way we carry different parts of ourselves depending on where we are and who we’re with. My background in competitive dance and track taught me about discipline, pressure, and resilience, and it sparked my passion for sports psychology—helping people tap into the joy of performance while easing the stress that often comes with it, whether in athletics, academics, or work.
In recent years, my work has also expanded to hormonal and perinatal mental health, informed both by my own health journey and by the many clients whose stories of being overlooked or dismissed pushed me to seek advanced training. These experiences deepened my commitment to supporting people through transitions that are often invisible yet profoundly impactful.
Gramercy Psychology reflects these values: care that is evidence-based and practical, but also inclusive, thoughtful, and deeply collaborative. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply not yourself, you don’t have to navigate it alone. We’re here to help you feel grounded, supported, and understood.
