About the Team
Laura Berssenbrugge, PsyD
Founder & Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Laura helps children, teens and adults better understand themselves, feel less overwhelmed, and make meaningful changes in their lives. She specializes in anxiety and mood disorders, OCD, autism, ADHD, eating disorders, and perinatal mental health using evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, and ERP.
Her style is warm, active, and collaborative. She works with clients to understand the patterns keeping them stuck and find practical and sustainable ways forward. She especially enjoys working with thoughtful, achievement-minded people who often have everything together on the outside but privately struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, or they are not ‘enough.’
Before founding Gramercy Psychology, Dr. Laura trained and worked at the Child Mind Institute, NYU Child Study Center, Rutgers University, and Evidence-Based Psychology NYC. She is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Hawai‘i and provides telehealth in participating PSYPACT states.
